Assembly Operative - Belper

Our client is a world-class leader in manufacturing water heating systems and is looking for staff to add talent to their current production team! We offer most competitive rates of pay, for first 3 weeks it's £11.26/ £11.04 (Shift depending)
Further rate increases with length of service up to £14.15/ £15.72/£16.54(shifts) and £21.23(OT rate)
Long term ongoing roles with temp to perm options.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, rotation:
-Days: 5:45am - 14:15pm - Early finish of noon on a Friday
-Afternoons: 14:45pm - 23:15 pm - Early finish just after 6pm on a Friday
or regular Nights (23:30-5:30 Mon-Thur/ 19:00- 05:30 Sun)
Must have own transport to get to Belper if not local
You will have:
* The ability to maintain concentration and focus on highly repetitive tasks/workload
* Good communication skills and work well within a team
* A strong eye for detail, this is to be able to perform a task consistently, and notice any mistakes that the individual, the machine, or colleagues make
* Able to consistently learn and implement quality assurance
* Able to ask for help and follow procedures safely
* Able to listen carefully to instructions and carrying them out specifically and in the correct order
* A high level of dexterity and be good with your hands

You will be:
* Self-motivated and driven by targets (These may be by number of items assembled, or work completed per hour)
* Reliable and punctual for every shift
* Able to take a methodical approach and learn on the job
* A positive person who can take initiative where appropriate
Main Duties/Responsibilities
In this role you will:
* Set up and use machinery, as well as working with hand tools
* Normally working on a line, putting goods together in a factory or warehouse
* Completing tasks in a specific section of an assembly line, whilst meeting targets
* Report any issues with machinery or goods on the assembly line
* Working safely at all times and making sure you meet health and safety requirements
* As you gain more experience and responsibility, you may be required to train or mentor new members of staff or run specific sections
* Any experience of working in a factory or warehouse and/or stacking shelves and organising stock in a retail role will also have given lots of skills that are relevant to an Assembly Operative role
* own transport due to location and shifts start time
