Chef - Education Site - 44 weeks - £11.50p/h - Bournemouth
The role:
An education site in central Bournemouth close to the beach are now looking for a Chef to join their team. The Chef will work under the direction of the Head Chef and will be expected to cook quality fresh meals for the pupils. It is a 7 day operation and you will work 5/7 days.
* Contracted to 44 weeks of the year so 8 weeks off
* 5 weeks holiday paid
* 40 hours per week - All overtime paid
* No Late nights, normally 2 types of shifts, 0700-1500 or 1100-1900
Standards are high, and meals are prepared daily from fresh ingredients. The ability to work quickly according to the requirements of the Kitchen team is essential for this role. The Chef will be expected to have flexible availability.
Responsibilities:
* Learn all aspects of food preparation and cooking under the guidance of the head chef
* Ideally a quick learner who must be able to work under pressure in order to succeed in the role
* Must maintain high standards of personal and food hygiene
* Ideally NVQ Level 1 and 2 qualified however not essential as long as you have previous kitchen experience
