Blue Arrow are currently recruiting a Junior Sous Chef for a luxury client based in Rochester, Hoo on a permenant basis.

Job Role
An experienced junior sous chef.

This candidate must be passionate about the role and ensure all hygiene and standards are kept to its highest at all times. Help assist with the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef at all times to ensure the kitchen is running smootly.

Fully competent with knife skills, understanding classic cooking techniques

Take responsibility for more technical elements of cuisine.

Analyse food costs and determine most cost-effective recipes while maintaining quality.

Responsible for preparing and producing dishes and be an active participant during service.

Work independently without supervision

Will be required to cover other sections as directed by Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef.

Personal specifacation:

Proven experience at Junior Sous Chef
Formal culinary training, previous restaurant experience, extensive food and beverage knowledge. Fully competent with knife skills, understanding classic cooking techniques.
Food safety aware level 1,2 and 3.
Positive and engaging personality and professional appearance. Excellent communication skills, comfortable working with members of the public. Ability to cope under pressure, in a calm and efficient

Salary £25,000pa plus 5% bonus
