Recruiting for an experienced, driven & passionate Sous Chef for a popular Golf Club located in Woking, you will have solid food knowledge as well as assisting the Head Chef in the overall running of the Catering Department including deputising in their absence.
This is a very busy site alongside the day to day offerings in their Restaurant including Breakfast & Lunch they also do a lot of functions, you would need to be highly knowledgable in the Conference & Banqueting side of the business. You will have the responsibility for leading and developing the rest of the brigade, maintaining high standards, an input in menu development and responsibilities surrounding ordering and stock control.
The kitchen is open from 6am until 8pm so shifts are based around this alongside the function side of the business which is very busy.
Main duties and responsibilities Head Chef:
Implement Health & Safety legislation and COSHH at all times
Assisting and deputising for the Head Chef
Preparation of food for large volumes of customers
Organising the other members of your team and delegating responsibilities
Working with the more junior members of staff and training them
Using fresh ingredients to make good, quality food.
What you need to be successful in the Chef in High Wycombe:
* Past experience working in a fresh food environment
* Excellent communication and able to work as part of a team
* Function / Banqueting experience
* Works well under pressure
* Sous Chef Experience
