Blue Arrow Swansea are Recruiting for a luxury 4* Hotel located near Llantrisant for a Banqueting Head Chef to join their existing talented team.
We are Looking for a passionate and talented Banqueting Head Chef who will report directly to the Executive Chef and will help build the team with a background within either a fine dining establishment, rosette background or a 4* Hotel.
As part of The Resort kitchen banqueting team, you will be responsible for supervising and managing the team. Ensuring the highest quality of food and standards are upheld and must have relevant banqueting experience due to the high volume of covers that will be required.
Main duties include:
Ensuring food is prepared and cooked to the highest standards, maintain a high level of presentation and exceeding our guests expectations.
Design, prepare and cost function menus, working with the resort Executive Chef to ensure menus are regularly updated and operate within agreed food cost targets.
Monitor and control stock levels and assist with ordering food stock when required.
Manage the kitchen banqueting team including inducting, training and developing, motivating and implementing PDR processes to assist with the above.
Ensuring full compliance throughout all food handling and storage as per the Resort Food Hygiene and HACCP system
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate extensive experience working in a four star/ five star hotel with kitchen management experience. The candidate will also need a full understanding of HACCP and its importance with the ability to lead in Health & Safety and Food Safety and minimum of Level 2 Food Safety qualification required Level 3 Food Safety qualification preferred.
The role is 45 hours per week with flexibility to work between the hours of 6 am- Close.
