We are currently looking for DBS Catering Assistants for schools in Wantage
Shifts
Monday to Friday 8:00 14:30
Monday to Friday 9:30 -14:30
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* To assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages for school
meals in accordance with agreed recipes/methods
* To serve food for transportation to other schools when required
* To refill an replace consumables
* To operate kitchen equipment, following training
* To monitor and arrange orderly and secure storage of supplies
* To comply with all food allergen legislation
* To follow food hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen in accordance with Health &
Safety
* To undertake cleaning and washing up as directed in the kitchen and dining areas
* To assist with moving and setting up dining furniture
* To undertake cashier duties using biometric system
* To report faulty equipment and other maintenance requirements to appropriate
person
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
* To be personally committed to the process of continuous improvement
* To participate in relevant staff development and training activities
* Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection,
health and safety, security and confidentiality
* To be willing to undertake First Aid training
* Present a positive personal image, contributing to a work environment which
supports equal opportunities
