Position: Cleaning Support Manager

Reports to: Area Manager/Account Director

Purpose of Role: You will manage the day-to-day cleaning operations. You will operate consistently within Company policy, ensuring their services meet and go beyond customer expectations by making best use of the resources available to you.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Meet and where possible, exceed client expectations whilst operating within agreed budgets
  • Recruit, induct and train suitable staff ensuring compliance with vetting procedures
  • To carry out effective management of teams of cleaners in line with Otium processes
  • To ensure all sites are covered at all times particularly on leisure accounts at night and weekends
  • Control wage spend in line with agreed budgets set by the management team
  • Monitor client satisfaction and service delivery on a monthly basis, through client meetings, monthly call log/complaints reports
  • Carry out random and pre-planned audits including compliance and quality on a monthly basis
  • Oversee the site-based training matrix for all staff to ensure training is delivered
  • Ensure health and safety of all employees, client and public
  • Ensure that site documentation is maintained and correct
  • Ensure products, equipment and materials fall in-line with agreed budget and are properly stored, used, maintained and controlled
  • Ensure activities are undertaken in line with quality management, Health and Safety, legal requirements, environmental policies and duty of care
  • Uphold, safeguard and promote the Company's values and philosophy relating to ethics, integrity and corporate social responsibility

Qualifications and experience:

  • Knowledge of cleaning industry
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of Working Time Directive, employment legislation
  • Knowledge of health and safety awareness/training
  • Knowledge of ISO procedures
  • Excellent customer service
  • IT literate, and understanding of systems/technology in the industry

Essential Skills / Ability

  • Ability to work well in a highly pressurised environment
  • Ability to support, motivate and lead a team to develop and achieve through regular coaching and one-to-ones
  • Excellent communication skills, at all levels and both internally and externally
  • Ability to meet customer expectations at all time and set KPI's
  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision
  • Ability to manage resources
  • Strong team working ethic and flexibility
  • Excellent attention to detail
