CAMPUS SUPPORT OFFICER - HUDDERSFIELD
Temperory contract 10th May - 31 August 2021
£10.24 per hour
35 hours per week - working a rotating shift pattern between 0600-2200 MON to FRI with some weekend working required.
The campus support officer will deliver the day to day operations within the Facilities service, ensuring the highest standards of service in providing professional. clean, safe and accessible buildings and space.
To carry out the locking and unlocking of the onsite buildings and the routine checks of premises in line with the estates policies and procedures.
To assistant and undertake the delivery and maintainance of the onsite buildings and grounds including minor repairs requiring the use of basic tools and equiptment following the departments safe systems of work.
To ensure all buildings remain clean and tidy, assisting the cleaning team in preperation of events when required. Responding to emergency situations and providing a remedial cleaning service when necessary.
To carry out office and room moves and set ups, including the disposal and recycling of furniture and equipment. Setting up rooms for teaching and events and providing a first class professional service as required during events including customer service, basic health and safety inspections, maintenance, security and portering.
To support the receipt, delivery and redistribution of cash from outlets using client vehicles.
To provide fire warden cover for events and response to all security related incidents on site.
To provide an immediate first aid responce to all staff, visitors and members of the public as required.
To provide a first response when fire alarms or detection equiptment is activated.
APPLICANTS MUST HAVE;
A minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role.
Ability to understand amd follow both verbal and written instruction and procedures and to communicate clearly in the English language
Able to drive and in pocession of a current driving licence.
Be in pocession of a first aid certificate or be able to undertake a recognised first aid qualification.
Be in pocession of a recognised security qualification i.e. conflict management, SIA licence
Basic Health and safety and Manual handling training.
