Our client is a fabulous foodie pub situated in a village close to Woking in Surrey and they are looking to recruit a Junior Sous chef to help join their brigade. The restaurant boasts a superb choice of fresh, locally sourced dishes served daily. This company also offers excellent career opportunities to develop and progress. The pub is based in a stunning location with a unique twist.
This pub is a part of a well-known group of privately owned pubs within the Surrey area, it is a part of a small, privately owned group of 3 pubs currently, with big expansion plans for the future. They serve delicious freshly prepared food using quality & seasonal menus.
It can get extremely busy during peak times so we are looking for Junior Sous Chefs that can cook high numbers without compromising quality.
Your main responsibilities as Junior Sous Chef will include:
" Supporting the Senior Chefs with writing menus and developing a brigade
" Ensuring food safety and health and hygiene
" Develop and train the junior members of the team
" Support the Senior Chefs in maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within a budget
" To ensure food preparation and control meets requirements in respect to the set standards
What you need to get the Junior Sous Chef job
" Experience at Senior Chef de Partie Level
" Qualified to NVQ Level 1, 2 and 3 or Equivalent
" Passionate about food
" Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to take operation to the next level
