Do you want to work on the beach and have a sea view every single day? If yes, then this could be the place for you? Our Client, a popular fresh food restaurant that overlooks the sea are looking for a Full Time, Permanent Junior Sous Chef to join their friendly team. Your job will be to assist the Head and Sous Chef with the running of the kitchen operations within the site. This will include managing staff, implementing, and maintaining procedures as well as ensuring all product and service standards are being met.
This is a hugely popular restaurant and is busy all year round with al fresco dining adding to the experience during the spring/summer and autumn.
The successful candidate must be self-motivated, have a passion for good food and service, calm under pressure and be able to work in a small team. You must also possess experience in working with fresh food and catering for high numbers without compromising quality.
As Junior Sous Chef you will work 5/7 Days - 45hrs min p/w - straight shifts.
What You Need To Be a Successful:
The ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment showing continuous creativity and keen interest in food and cooking. Have strong communication skills and lead by example for all the junior team members to look up to. To have completed the catering qualifications and completed the health & hygiene certificates will give an advantage however the right on the job past experience may also be looked at.
A knowledge of seafood and experience cooking seafood would be advantageous
