Blue Arrow are currently recruiting for a Neighbourhood Enforcement Officer to support in delivering sustainable "safe, clean and green" outcomes for Bristol's neighbourhoods through a combination of prevention, education, partnership and enforcement action. A large amount of your time will be spent outside within the communities. This role offers 37 hours per week, with a pay rate of £14.86 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
To deliver informal and formal actions which tackle a range of neighbourhood issues including noise, pollution, licensing, waste, animal welfare, street scene, highways and other relevant neighbourhood priorities.
Take formal and informal actions in a robust and timely manner.
Use a wide suite of skills including problem solving, partnership working and enforcement action across a wide range of neighbourhood issues, resolving as many as possible at first point of contact with the issue.
Deliver high volumes of lower level enforcement actions (FPNs, notices, warnings) for high frequency neighbourhood issues including littering, commercial waste, noise, fly tipping, highway obstructions.
Deliver case conferences, prosecutions and other relevant robust solutions for complex neighbourhood issues including pollution control, licensing, fly-tipping, highways encampments.
Work alongside partners, colleagues and community leaders to deliver improved safe, clean and green outcomes in neighbourhoods.
Ideal Candidate
Experience within a similar or enforcement role desirable
Knowledge and/or experience of equalities and diversity issues
Ability to understand and apply legislation and to carry out investigations in a regulatory/ enforcement field
Experience with conducting interviews
