We are currently recruiting for a Bed Capacity Co-ordinator for our Mental Health NHS client based in Bristol. The role is mostly remote working but you will need to attend site in Bristol sometimes at short notice. The role will require excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise. You will build working Relationships including Clinical Directors, Managing Directors and Heads of Profession, Managers of all areas involved in allocating care to inpatient services.
Role: Bed Capacity Co-ordinator
Hourly Rate: £11.76
Hours: 09.00 - 17.30, Monday to Friday, 37.5hrs
Location: Remote & Brislington, Bristol
Start: ASAP after Vetting
Duration: 6 Months+
What is the job Role
To co-ordinate the use of inpatient beds across Bristol with accurate and timely bed management systems To support the effective and efficient use of inpatient beds To liaise with clinicians across Bristol, including external stakeholders to ensure the optimum use of inpatient beds as a scarce and expensive resource To monitor the flow of all inpatient admissions, including liaising with other providers for timely return of any out-of-area placements to minimise financial impact on the organisation To contribute to the development of new ways of working and a changing commissioning landscape
Essential knowledge, skills and experience required for this role
* Degree level qualification or diploma level qualification plus relevant experience
* Significant experience of working in a complex organisation
* Experience of delivering projects against timescales
* Comprehensive knowledge of area relevant to project Multi-tasking and management of competing priorities.
* Able to work quickly, accurately and under pressure to multiple deadlines
* Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal and liaison skills
* Ability to analyse and interpret information, manage statistics and create reports Understanding and knowledge of the financial implications of managing capacity
* Good team player Experience of working collaboratively with other organisations Experience in multi-professional collaboration at a senior level
* Experience of developing/working multi-agency relationships
* Experience of managing complex relationships and working systematically to manage difficult situations
* Advanced levels of computer literacy are required in Word, Excel, Office, E-mail and Internet to develop or create reports, documents and spread sheets
* Able to express complex issues, both orally and in writing in an easily understood manner for a range of audiences
* Able to demonstrate a commitment to a service driven approach to the work based upon on-going evaluation, review and improvement Innovator and decision-maker with the ability to communicate new ideas Strong commitment to setting and achieving goals and objectives Demonstrable experience of delivering improvements to services or systems
