We are looking for some one with a breadth of knowledge in hospitality, catering and leisure sectors with a good under standing of the importance of producing and serving genuine home made food to a high standard including home baking.
This role is very much hands on in the kitchen as well as a mix of Kitchen management ( in the absence of the kitchen manager) and on days where the kitchen manager is also onsite you will spend time on:
*Development of the bakery/baking where appropriate
*EHO responsibilities ensuring we are always ahead of where we should be, proactive in our approach to Health and safety and Environmental health.
*Staff training/ refresher training.
*Planing menus alongside the Kitchen manager.
*Ensure health, safety, hygiene and environmental regulations are strictly followed and the organisation is fully compliant, including maintaining relevant records and overseeing/ managing EHO visits
*Maintain records and monitor the quality of food produced by the team.
*Liaison with accounts re: stock control as appropriate
*Work closely with the kitchen manager and the front of house manager to develop and introduce new ideas.
*Birthday party menus
*Corporate hospitality
*Any other general duties as required
Skills and qualifications:
*Previous similar experience is essential, holding a C&G 706/1, 706/2 NVQ equivalent
*Must have Food Hygiene certificate - intermediate level as a minimum.
*Qualified Baker ( or qualified by experience)- must be able to demonstrate strong baking skills.
*Sound and current knowledge of hygiene and health and safety.
*Maintain a good level or personal presentation.
*Motivated by a passion for quality and great service delivery with ambition to continually improve
*Computer literate
*Exemplary people management skills
*Excellent team player and leader.
*Good financial understanding
*Good customer service skills.
*Engage with the customers which includes children of all ages.
