Head Chef - Up to 40,000 including Bonus - 2 Rosette Restaurant - Devon
We are currently recruiting for a beautiful restaurant on the border of Devon and Dorset. This restaurant was awarded it 2nd rosette and is looking for a new Head Chef to continue its award winning cuisine to the public. The restaurant also carries bedrooms which they cater breakfast for. As Head Chef you will you should have an eye for detail, be well organised, have good communication skills, understand how to manage staff and know how to get the best from your team. You will further understand the importance of using fresh and locally sourced produce to adhere to the standards required.
You will be working 5 days during the summer and 4 ½ in the winter months on a 5 day out of 7 working to business demands.
Main duties and responsibilities of the Head Chef
* To prepare food for service with a focus on high standards of presentation, quality and portion control.
* To develop seasonal menus
* To negotiate with suppliers
* To ensure all food production and storage areas within the venue are maintained
* Ensure the 2 Rosette standard is maintained and built upon
* Manage people and activities
* Take responsibility for health & safety within their teams.
* Experience at Head Chef or Sous Chef level in a Rosette restaurant
* Qualified to NVQ Level 1, 2 and 3 or Equivalent
* Passionate about food
* Can lead and motivate and can demonstrate excellent culinary skill
* Up to £40,000 including Bonus
* 4 ½ days in the Winter Months
