We are currently recruiting for a reliable and passionate Facilities Assistant to our clients join their team. As a Facilities Assistant you will be working with in the most diverse department of the company, providing the very best support through the efficient and well organised systems. You will be working the hours of 09:00-17:30 Monday- Friday.
As a facilities Assistant you will manage the overall maintenance of all aspects of our clients premises ensuring high standards are upheld. The role requires that the company present a high quality image via its premises therefore it is essential that the suitable candidate will be used to working in a busy environment. Your day-to-day tasks will differ and can range from general maintenance, gardening, cleaning and rubbish removal, meaning that you will need a basic understanding and ability to perform these tasks. This position will require the ability to work with hand tools and power equipment whilst following Health & Safety policies and legislation.
As a successful candidate your responsibilities will be;
Ability to resolve problems whilst adhering to health & safety legislative requirements and company policies
To work safely and highlight any concerns or risks prior to commencing job
Strong communication skills when working with colleagues, contractors and external companies to get work completed quickly and to a high standard
Capable of confidently working with machinery or moving heavy equipment
Respond to Helpdesk requests in a timely and professional manner, including resolving complaints quickly and professionally
Basic ability to carry out minor DIY tasks, whilst being able to identify when a professional is required for the job
Assisting with office up keep and moves
Carrying out garden/landscape installation and maintenance, including the cleanliness of outside spaces, such as car parks and walkways
Maintaining all Company property exterior through the different seasons; being proactive and planning/scheduling work in preparation
Perform basic tasks including painting, filling cracks, cleaning and managing building maintenance repairs
Detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs
Respond to Helpdesk requests in a timely and professional manner
Undertake duties as assigned or in an emergency eg gritting car parks/shovelling snow etc
Flexible with times and location of work
Load/run and empty dishwashers throughout the day
Ability to complete ad-hoc when required, including window cleaning (internal and external), floor cleaning, using and emptying the baler, maintaining plants (internal and external)
You will need a Minimum of 3 years' experience
The ability to undertake manual handling tasks and other physically demanding activities, heavy lifting
Capability to communicate (written and verbal) clearly
Adaptable and flexible in order to cope with a variable workload
Ability to stay motivated and self-manage
Ability to perform DIY duties, utilising correct tools required and drawing from previous experience
You will be working alongside the Operations Manager, Operations support team and also other Facilities Assistants. As a Team your Aim is to provide a service that maintains the offices, work spaces and surrounding areas whilst using the team's knowledge and skills to work with external companies.
