Christmas is almost upon us bringing with it a host of HGV Class 1 driving opportunities for qualified, reliable, and flexible Drivers.
This is your chance to become an integral part of a logistical team helping to deliver a one-price-goes-anywhere postal service to addresses across the UK.
Joining as an HGV Class 1 Driver based out of Wishaw in Scotland you will be working independently to collect and transport mail along fixed routes, delivering it on to the next stage in the process.
The fixed route system this company operates ensures that you are able to work with efficiency and autonomy to complete your work your way, simply driving the route, loading and unloading, maintaining the security of your load and the condition of your vehicle.
Unlike many driving roles there are no multi drop routes and no overnight stays with this position. You will be working shifts across the 24 hour operation, starting at the beginning of November.
In order to successfully secure a role, it is required that all Drivers pass an assessment on-site at the company premises. The duration of the assessment is a total of four hours, in which you will be paid for these four hours upon working your first shift for the UK's most trusted letters and parcels delivery company.
All Drivers will go through a staged vetting process, the duration of stage one vetting is usually takes place between one to two weeks. Upon passing stage one, stage two vetting can be a further one to three weeks.
Should vetting and assessments be passed prior to November, there is an opportunity to commence work earlier.

This role is open to applications from individuals seeking temporary employment as well as private Limited Company Drivers.

* Full valid UK manual C&E driving license (Large Goods Vehicle Class 1).
* Hold a full Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC).
* Digi Tacho Knowledge.
* Less than 6 penalty points on your license (ideally a clean license is preferred).
* Pass the company's driving assessment.
* Minimum 2 years experience preferred.
* Ability to provide 5 years work and address history
