We are sourcing for a Translation and Interpreting Assistant Coordinator to work at our local Authority Client based in the city centre.

Job Title: Translation and Interpreting Assistant Coordinator
Hours: 9.00am - 5.00pm
Days: Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until 31/03/2020
About the role
The role will support and assist the Translation and Interpreting Coordinator in promoting, developing and delivery of the day to day management of the service. To assist and support the T&I coordinator with casual Interpreters (including BSL) and Translators: recruitment, training, administration of DBS, payment of, monitoring and supervision. To manage and coordinate interpreting bookings and allocation of translation requests (coordinate all steps of document translation by overseeing price proposal, translation, quality control, delivery and billing) and interpreters' assignments (matching client needs with interpreter languages, skills and schedules) in line with requests and within the high standards and timescales as set out in the service's strategy.
What you need for the role
Excellent customer service skills including the ability to handle customers across different channels including face-to-face, email, web chat, SMS and telephony. Including the ability to multitask whilst dealing with customers.
Experience working in a customer focused, performance orientated, and target driven environment (could include: environments governed by extensive legislation / regulations, environments with complex customer needs, financial services, money advice, and debt recovery or social and welfare sectors).
