Sous Chef - £24,000 - Poole - Freehouse
We are looking to recruit our next fantastic Sous Chef for our popular Freehouse in the Poole area. We offer a beautiful selection of food alongside our mouth-watering selection of drinks. We offer our team straight shifts and will be working mostly 45 hours per week with the incorporation of a shorter shift on the 5th working day. We offer all our team a share of the tips and have a great relationship working better together and thrive off each other's enthusiasm so are looking for that person with real energy and dedication to the kitchen.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain high levels of personal hygiene and immaculate presentation
Work well within the team, communicating effectively with all necessary team members
Give and receive instructions courteously, showing respect to your superiors and to those you manage
Manage the kitchen cleanliness, always working with a 'clean as you go' mentality
Communicate with managers, the reception team and waiting staff with regards to special requests and preparation times of specific foods that have been ordered, always in a patient and courteous manner
What You Need To Be a Successful
A minimum 12 month's experience working as a Senior Chef de Partie or Sous Chef
Passion for preparing creative and attractively presented dishes
High level of product and food hygiene knowledge
Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team
Experience of managing stock and wage budgets
Confidence and adaptable communication style
