DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER - CATERING - MILTON KEYNES - £40,289 (DEPENDANT ON EXPERIENCE)
MONDAY - FRIDAY 8.AM - 4.30PM FLEXIBILE
Blue Arrow are recruiting on behalf of a leading educational organisation
PURPOSE OF POSITION
They are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Deputy General Manager to help lead the team to build on the success of their dinning offers
Principal Responsibilities
Supporting the General Manager in managing our operation of the restaurants and hospitality including the development and growth of people, sales and profits
Motivate and inspire your team through a genuine passion for hospitality
Outstanding customer focus to manage the restaurant in accordance with established company standards, policies and procedures
Drive sales by ensuring customer satisfaction
Maximise profits by controlling food & beverage and labour costs.
Key Skills
To assist the General Manager, in the day to day operation of the contract
Manage the team to deliver an excellent catering service through great food and excellent customer service
Motivate and engage a large team
Delivery all financial aspects of the contract for both client and company whilst driving the current business and developing future opportunities
Drive innovation and continuous improvement of people
You will ensure compliance with all statutory requirements
Key Attributes
Experience of managing a large catering service is essential
Sound knowledge of Hygiene, Health and Safety
Standards and quality driven management style
Motivated by a passion for quality and great service delivery
Interpersonal, administrative and organisational skills
A 'Can do' attitude with an eye for detail
Computer literate
MUST have a hands on management style as this role will be hands on as well as managing
Knowledge of food preparation and standards required
A strong leader, with bags of enthusiasm
An adaptable individual who can communicate at all levels from customers to clients both upwards and downwards
Very organised and enjoys working in a very busy environment
Sound knowledge of legislative standards
Proven experience of dealing with demanding clients and changing priorities
