This classic country inn set in the West Berkshire countryside is now looking to appoint a hands on Deputy General Manager to help lead the whole team.  The Pub has been upgraded all areas including luxury fixtures and fittings to its en-suite bedrooms, upgraded and extended the kitchen area and Restaurant including its private dining room plus many more features.
This role will be ideally suited to a Deputy General Manager that is close to becoming a General Manager themselves.  In this position it will not take you long before you are running your own site.

Located near Hungerford, Berkshire this site has an excellent all week business, with high-room occupancy and an average trade of £35K per week favouring the food side of the business. The pub also has a large garden, outside terrace and offers elements to please both locals and visitors alike.
The ideal Deputy General Manager will:- 
  • Be reliable, conscientious, punctual and well turned out.
  • Take pride in what they do and genuinely care.
  • Lead by example and be proactive and always busy at work.
  • Have at least 1 years' experience in a busy, high quality bar or pub.
  • Be competent looking after a section to a high specification.
  • Be able to run a shift in the absence of a manager.
  • Be competent handling money and cashing up.
  • Have experience in making cocktails, wine service and coffee making.
  • Have good food and drink knowledge.
  • Have experience working with real ales, cellar management qualifications preferred.
  • Cope well under pressure.
