 Company Information - a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a prestigious School in Canterbury. My client is looking for a dedicated, passionate foodie to join their team. If you are looking for something that will challenge you, push you and get you to exceed your expectations then this is the role for you!
The Ideal Chef De Partie will have
  • Current / previous experience as a chef, running a section in a busy kitchen
  • Experience in contract catering/education site
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to work in a supportive, structured environment
  • Ability to work on their own initiative calmly when under pressure
  • Hold a clean, fully enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to get one)
Main Responsibilities for Chef De Partie
  • Prepare engaging and enticing menus for 1000 student
  • To support the Head Chef/Sous Chef in carrying out daily tasks
  • To train and manage the staff in your section and beyond as may be required from time to time  
  • Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations
  • Be computer literate and also look after all paperwork
  • Put effort in optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
  • To assist with stock management and control, ensuring appropriate levels of stock for your section are maintained
  • Enforce strict health and hygiene standards
  • Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation

  • Experience of food production for large customer numbers
  • Level 2 Hygiene Certificate and Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate

 Package for Chef De Partie
  • Annual salary £17.542 p.a
  • Working 40 hours per week working 5 days over 7m - 36 weeks term-time plus 5 weeks (23 days) working lettings, functions and events.  Some of these are likely to be evenings, weekends or bank holidays. Public holidays occurring when the School is in session will be normal working days.
  • Annual paid leave of 4.4 weeks to be taken during School holidays.
