Restaurant Manager - Bath - No nights - 37.5 hrs per week - alternate weekends
We are recruiting for a Full Time Restaurant Manager to join a restaurant team near Bath, Somerset.
This is a great opportunity for someone to apply their skills and experience from within the catering industry to an exciting and varied role
Position Details

  • Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours working alternate weekends) No Evenings
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Salary: Up to £25,000 per annum
Position Summary

We are seeking someone that enjoys working in a busy catering environment and is motivated by new challenges.
Key Responsibilities
  • Financial, stock and budget management within the Restaurant.  Monitoring wastage and discounting to achieve acceptable margins.
  • Managing staffing including rotas, holiday requests and absences, ensuring adequate cover at all times.
  • Managing staff performance with the General Manager.
  • Ensuring restaurant remains compliant with FSA standards.
  • Leading by example to ensure high levels of customer service at all times.
  • Ensure restaurant and all equipment is properly maintained (H&S and cleanliness), reporting of faults where necessary.
  • Manage the promotion of the brand within the restaurant, by developing good local public relations and managing the active promotion of the restaurant.
  • Conduct staff meetings and attend management meetings as and when required.
Candidate Requirements
  • Working knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation.
  • Extensive industry experience.
  • An understanding of budgetary control with a commercial approach.
  • A proactive personality in a dynamic and demanding environment.
  • Flexible and positive attitude towards work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Be able to work to and achieve tight deadlines
