The Role  
The Partnerships team manage a wide variety of partners across the public and private sector focussing on housing partnerships with developers, councils and housing associations as well as other commercial housing propositions. We have grown consistently over the last four years and are the leading provider in the voids sector. It is our aim to be the lead in all markets in which we operate. 
Reporting into Sales Manager, the Strategic Business Development Manager will be key in enabling our clients Retail Domestic to achieve its vision of profitable growth through creating a robust housing sector partnership strategy and winning profitable partnerships across energy, Home Services and Phone and Broadband propositions. 
You will play a vital role in the acquisition of more profitable customers by embracing and demonstrating leadership of the strategy.  This means understanding what acquisition volume and customer value we need to attain to achieve our profitability expectations, and using the various tools and resources available, such as Customer Insight, Business Intelligence & Data, across a matrixed structure and stakeholders to make this happen. The focus of this role is not around maintaining existing relationships, but seeking out profitable new partnerships across our portfolio of chosen markets, tenaciously pursuing senior decision makers and creating compelling proposals. 
Your Skills and Experience 
Due to the fundamental role you will play within the business, you will be required to have a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities being faced within the energy, home services and domestic telco industries and how these affect customer acquisition. You should have detailed knowledge of acquisition drivers and best practice activity, coupled with a firm grasp of partnership commercial models such as commissions and profit share. Having operated in a similar role previously, you will have exceptional customer focus along with detailed knowledge and experience of B2B sales and bid/proposal methodologies, P&L's and commercial drivers
