An opportunity has arisen for a creative and experienced Head Chef to lead a brigade at a truly unique and prestigious venue. Working with a team of 30 kitchen staff, you will be instrumental in the development, implementation and maintenance of a remarkable dining experience.
Providing 300+ covers a day representing French, Italian and Spanish cuisine, this vacancy requires a Chef with a thorough knowledge of contemporary food trends and a genuine, demonstrable passion for quality.
Key Information:
Salary: 45K plus bonus scheme (20% quarterly)
Restaurant opens from 7.30am closes at 10pm (shift pattern will fit between these times-
45 hour working week (overtime available)
Key Duties:
  • To work with the team to create and maintain a working environment in which the culture is positive and the highest food standards are achieved, exceeding both customer and staff expectations.
  •  To demonstrate, execute and train the highest standards in and understanding of food safety, ensuring our kitchens exceed legal requirements in this area.
  • To assume overall responsibility for the smooth running of the kitchen and the implementation, evolution and ongoing improvement of standards and profitability.
  • To deliver, monitor and encourage the consistent and structured training of all new staff and also, their ongoing training & development.
  • Upholding the highest standards of food quality at all times, paying meticulous attention to detail to ensure that all dishes are delivered according to spec.
  • Working with Sous & Junior Sous chefs to ensure that food quality is maintained at this level on every shift.
  • Championing the delivery of structured training for every chef, following their training and ongoing modular training, to ensure full understanding of our standards in food quality.
  • Living a no compromise attitude to food quality that becomes the norm, front and back of house.
