Sous Chef - Golf Club - Sonning - 40 Hours per week - £25K to £27.5K dependant on experience - Live in Available at a cost if required
This Golf Club has established itself as one of the most desirable locations for any celebration. With a large function room able to accommodate up to 180 guests the Club offers a wide range of services for Weddings, Dinner Dances, Conferences, Golf Societies & Members alike.
Largely speaking it is a Club Menu 9-4 each day, and then private functions around as required.  The club has evening business 4-5 days per week, with various clubs/committees who meet here.

Sous Chef Requirements:
  • A 'hands-on' Chef with all-round cooking abilities
  • A track record of large scale banqueting
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A great eye for detail and the ability to work well under pressure & on own initiative
  • Availability to work during normal hours, evenings, weekends & public holidays
 Sous Chef Responsibilities:
To work with the Head Chef, and cover in their absence, towards;
  • Implementation of bar, banqueting and restaurant menus
  • To help ensure high levels of hygiene / health & safety
  • To help manage stock and maintain / meet GP targets within a small friendly kitchen
Our current focus is on using fresh local ingredients to produce Home-made, hearty, British food, but with regular Member evenings and a very busy Sunday lunch trade there is plenty of scope for creativity.
