Fantastic opportunity for a Sous Chef to work for one of the UK's most respected and vibrant contract caterers at one of the country's premier tourist attractions. Paying up to 27K with great working hours spread over a 5 over 7 shift pattern. This is an excellent opportunity to work at a truly unique venue!
 
Key information:
- £25,000 -£27,000 per annum
- Working Hours: 45 hours per week on a shift (either early, mid or late) between the hours of 7am till 9pm when in super peak times, only 7am to 6pm during normal hours. Very occasionally there will be themed night events.
- Location: Leavesden, Watford

Key responsibilities include:
  • To be responsible for the kitchen operation ensuring service standards are met
  • To ensure the staffing levels are correct and are in line with budget
  • Carry out daily staff briefings, set goals and objectives so that the department runs smoothly.
  • To control food stocks, achieving Gross Profit% and in addition focus on controllable costs such as linen, payroll etc.To ensure training objectives are met by developing and motivating individuals within the kitchen team, S.O.P's, Recipe Bibles

Skills/Experience required:
At least two years' experience in a similar role
Significant experience of working in a commercial kitchen.
Up to date knowledge of local food trends and culinary techniques.
Able to demonstrate the highest level of food quality.
