Due to continued growth, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head Chef to lead a brigade for a recently opened restaurant. Working for a family owned business, this will suit a chef who is passionate about creating exciting food concepts using locally sourced fresh produce.
Paying 28k with excellent working hours of 8am to 5pm (5 days out of 7) affording a great work life balance, the ideal candidate will be someone used to interacting with the general public in addition to mentoring and developing their staff.
Key information:
- £28,000 per annum
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week between 8:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday. Occasional late night weekends will be required for function or themed event.
- Location: Bromley, Kent

Key responsibilities include:
  • Create exciting and competitively priced menus using local produce
  • Work with the owners of the business in a collaborative and creative fashion in launching the venue
  • Accountable for ensuring ongoing team communications, including building internal and external relationships, management reporting and client liaison to enable operational excellence.
  • Proactive management of kitchen team. Responsible for recruiting, supporting, training and people development to deliver an efficient, high quality service
  •  Accountable for maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within budget.
  • Accountable for innovative menu planning and design of food service within specified budgets ensuring high standard of food presentation and portion/quality control.
  • Responsible for creating a platform for financial growth through cost control and culinary excellence.
  • Accountable for COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal regulations, environment policies and duty of care to customers and colleagues.

Skills/Experience required:
GCSE level education or above
NVQ qualification or equivalent
Ability to display a real passion for food and customer service
