We are looking for a head chef or strong sous chef to take over the kitchen of this town centre hotel in Newbury, Berkshire.
  • Positon: Head Chef
  • Location: Newbury, Berkshire
  • Salary: £30,000 + Bonus
This small hotel group based in the South of England has recently acquired this hotel in Newbury.
They have big plans for its total revamp and a staged refurbishment is already underway.
The hotel facilities consist of:-
  • 56 Bedrooms
  • 90 Cover restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Bar & Lounge
  • 6 Meeting rooms
  • 120 Cover function room
  • Guest car park
As Head Chef you will need to:-
  • Have experience in busy kitchens within a gastro pub, restaurant or hotel environment.
  • Get excited about using fresh, seasonal and local produce.
  • Have a passion and flair for cooking and can contribute to menu ideas.
  • Is able to support the junior team and encourage the development of key positions.
  • Have experience catering for large functions and menu planning.
  • Have a good working knowledge of HACCP and COSHH
  • Have a minimum of Level 3 certification in food hygiene.
