This iconic pub on the outskirts of Newbury, Berkshire has a well-established customer base and reputation. With its 14 boutique rooms, cosy bar & 2 rosette restaurant it draws in guests from all around and walks of life.
  • The Role: Sous Chef.
  • Salary: £22000 to £28000 dependant on experience.
  • Location: Near Newbury, Berkshire

The ideal candidate will be working as a sous chef, a junior sous chef or a strong CDP looking to progress to the next level. Experience in a similar environment creating Rosette standard food would be advantageous.

Candidate requirements:
  • Must be reliable and willing to learn.
  • Have experience at 1 Rosette level or higher
  • Is passionate about food. Using fresh, local produce.
  • Can be a mentor for junior members of the brigade/team.
  • Will be happy and confident in supporting the Head Chef and run the kitchen during their absence.
  • Has a good working knowledge of HACCP and COSHH
  • Level 2 certification in food hygiene
  • Due to the location of the business own transport will be required.
