Hours: 45-50 Hours
Shifts: 5 days a week. Must be able to work evenings/weekends. Mixture of early, middle and late shifts.

Are you a passionate Restaurant Manager, with a love for sea views and vibrant food? 

We are looking for a hardworking, driven and passionate individual to join the team over at one of the area's most popular family run, award winning eating spots. The right applicant will need to have a real love for the industry and experience working in busy establishments, as this restaurant can welcome up to 800 guests a day during peak periods. You should be the type of person that thrives under pressure and can lead from the front, working closely with the General Manager to ensure your team deliver outstanding customer service. Ideally, the perfect candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for exceptional service and standards. You'll also be an effective "man manager" and be able to delegate effectively up and down the ladder to manage efficiently.


This opportunity would ideally suit a highly experienced restaurant manager, looking for a new challenge in creating the ultimate experience for the customers, whilst being able to adapt to the ever changing environment of a high volume, high quality venue.

The venue is around 3 miles from Christchurch train station, with good bus links being available to get you to and from the site, with the nearest stop being just a 4 minute walk from the venue's doors.


Required Skills/Qualities: 

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a managerial position
  • Minimum of 3 years as a Restaurant Manager
  • Managing and working with a largely diverse and experienced team
  • Experience in recruitment
  • Wine and cocktail experience
  • First class customer service
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Seafood knowledge
  • H&S and First Aid (desirable)
  • Personal License (desirable)
  • Rostering and payroll
