The role:

Are you a Purchase Ledger Officer with experience in a similar role?  Do you wish to work for an award winning, family run, company, who are now one of the largest providers in their sector in the north of Scotland?

With eight locations across Moray and Highland, we are have an opportunity for you to join the team as a  Purchase Ledger Officer and you will be reporting to the Finance Director with responsibility for maintaining and running all aspect of the purchase ledger.  As you will be part of a small finance team, if you have experience with other ledgers and payroll, this would be an advantage.


Key information:

  • Permanent role is available immediately.
  • Role will be based in Grantown on Spey from January 2019 in brand new offices.
  • Working 35 hrs per week, 9am to 5pm with 1 hour break for lunch.
  • Hours will be covering Monday to Friday.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Code and post all invoices to SAGE, reconciling delivery notes to invoices received.
  • Maintain Purchase Order records to ensure the accuracy of budget information.
  • Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger.
  • Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of purchase summaries.
  • Establish and maintain a professional relationship with suppliers to ensure that invoice queries can be dealt with effectively and efficiently.
  • Process BACS payments.

 

Skills required:

  • Significant experience and current working knowledge of double entry book-keeping
  • Working knowledge of Sage
  • Proven knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Some experience of Payroll would be beneficial
