We have a unique opportunity for an Assistant Production Manager located in Edinburgh.

The company has a long standing reputation for quality and service. They create bespoke handmade products available in multiple locations across the UK.

Your key duties:

-Complete safety check sheets prior to production starting.
-Identify any changes to process that requires a review.
-Identify all hazards and report near misses as per the H&S policy.
-Ensure all product is manufactured to the technical specification.
-Ensure that all raw materials, products and processes adhere to the company standards.
-Provide induction and training for new starters to fulfil roles required in your area.
-Train team against SOP's.
-Identify faults and report through work request forms.
-Identify and rectify key areas of waste on the production line.
-Able to communicate effectively with internal customers and suppliers.
-Ensure all plans are correctly completed in a timely manner with all necessary information written out in full.


Your skills:

-Ability to effectively lead a team.
-Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal at all levels including customers and senior management.
-Good decision making and problem solving skills.
-Ability to work well under pressure.
-Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate.
-Level 1 Food Award in Food Safety for Manufacturing
-Online Allergen Awareness Certificate.
-HACCP basic training received
