Sous Chef - Bedford - £24,000 - £25,000 + £4000 bonus paid quarterly + £3000 tips

Blue Arrow are recruiting on behalf of a new and expanding Pub Company based in Milton Keynes.

Looking for a Sous Chef with a real passion for creating great fresh food, developing teams and delivering faultless shift service.

Experienced in delivery of healthy gross profit, managing labour, wastage - the financials - alongside making sure your teams are motivated, continually trained and challenged for internal promotion.

The Chef Director will work with you to deliver your development needs and provide you with the opportunities that only a new and expanding Pub Company can offer.

About the Role:
  • Working 5 out of 7 days per week - two days off during the week guaranteed.
  • Work on a rota of 3 split shifts, 1 early and 1 late shift per week.
  • Contract of 47 hours per week - overtime paid if you go over your contracted hours.
  • 100% fresh food. Everything is made in house.
  • Tips are paid.


Key Job Skills:
  • Presentation.
  • Good communication & team player.
  • Awareness or certification in food hygiene & safety.
  • Lead a section (larder, pastry, sauce or fish).
  • Create a comprehensive prep List.
  • Check-in deliveries.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to deliver Pub GP
  • Input into our bi-monthly changing pub menus
  • Create daily specials
  • Coach and identify talent within the team
  • Be instrumental in ensuring each shift is perfect.
  • Ensure that all the kitchen team meet all food safety legal requirements
