Sous Chef - Hotel - Bournemouth - £11.25p/hr

Role Overview:

Our client is a unique hotel offering a beautiful holiday retreat for cancer patients and those with life threatening illnesses. They are looking for a Sous Chef to join their team - the successful candidate will work 4/7 days - 30-40hrs a week, all over time paid - Thursday to Monday doing splits and straight shifts, 8am-12.30pm / 5pm-8pm or 12-7.30pm.

Main Duties and Responsibilities as a Sous Chef (Bournemouth):

  • To ensure food preparation and control meets requirements in respect to the set standards

  • To support Head Chef in maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within a budget

  • To be responsible for maintaining up to date product and menu knowledge

  • To maintain a high standard of food preparation and presentation, ensuring portion and quality control

  • To comply with health and safety and food safety legislations

What You Need To Be a Successful Sous Chef (Bournemouth):

  • NVQ or City & Guilds Chef qualifications are required
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
