Sous Chef- Gastro Pub - Live In - Up to £21K- Dorchester

Role Overview:

A popular gastro pub in Dorchester with an impressive fresh food menu. Offering the right candidate excellent career opportunities to develop and progress as this pub is part of a group of pubs within the Dorset area.

Currently recruiting for an experienced Sous Chef to join their team. As a Sous Chef you will work 4.5/7 days - straights Fri-Sun and 2 splits - 3 nights off a week 43-44hrs a week.

Main Duties and Responsibilities as a Sous Chef (Dorchester):

  • To adhere to food preparation and presentation standards

  • To comply with all food safety and health and safety legislation

  • To motivate and supervise the junior members of the team

  • To monitor portion control, fresh food and dry store orders

What You Need To Be a Successful Sous Chef (Dorchester):

  • Previous experience in a similar role and establishment
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (advantageous)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • NVQ or City & Guilds Chef qualifications are required
