KEY INFORMATION

Title:  Customer Services Advisor
Location:  North London, Barnet 
Hours: Temporary Full time Monday - Friday 9.00 am - 17.00 pm 36 hours a week
Salary: up to £12.00 ph

Do you have previous customer service experience in a call centre environment? Would you like to work in a rewarding company?

We are looking for vibrant customer service advisors who will be responsible for ensuring that no-matter how the customers contact us - phone, web, email or letter - we give them a professional, quick response and updates on progress when needed.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Providing the first point of contact to customers calling the service hub, dealing with a portfolio of calls relating to regulatory services (including Highways, Planning and Building Control Services) 
  • Demonstrate an excellent telephone manner and display excellent customer care skills 
  • Ability to multi task and type whilst listening to the customer as well as checking alternate programmes for required information and logging details 
  • Receiving in the region of 80 calls per day from residents of the borough 
  • Confident user of web and email, experience of using CRM software packages

Requirements

  • Strong customer service experience and customer-centric attitude, with proven ability to manage effective customer interactions using all communication mediums
  • Experience of working in either a customer fulfilment service (including call centres) or a business administration function
  • Competent in, or ability to learn, the use of call centre technology and databases
  • Excellent written English communication skills with a high standard of literacy
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with all Council Members and Senior Stakeholders by e-mail, telephone or face to face.
  • Ability to navigate IT technology and search relevant systems
  • Good organisational and case management skills
  • Willingness to build extensive knowledge of relevant information in order to confidently process service requests from start to finish
  • Proactively taking responsibility for day-to-day tasks, ensuring requests are processed as fully as possible 
  • Organised approach to documenting and maintaining accurate records.
  • Strong problem solving skills to be able to interpret and progress complex and unclear requests for service and complaints
