We are recruiting on behalf of a leading local authority with an award winning Communications department. They are looking for a Corporate Campaigns officer to join a recently launched small team focused primarily on delivering high impact campaigns to support longer-term objectives.

Hertfordshire is set go through its biggest period of growth since the post Second World War New Towns era. Central Government has set District Councils the target to deliver more than 100,000 new homes by 2031 and with the new homes, the aim is to create 100,000 new jobs in the county over the next fifteen years. An experienced communications professional is required to work on this significant Growth and Infrastructure programme.

About you:

  • Proven track record of planning and delivering corporate campaigns.
  • Experience of developing excellent internal and external stakeholder relationships across complex organisations, preferably within local government, and able to champion the communications service offer.
  • An understanding of social marketing techniques
  • Experience of working on a significant change programme
  • Fantastic writing and organisational skills
  • Energetic, driven and enjoys working as part of a team.   

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and deliver high impact communications for the Growth and Infrastructure programme.
  • Work closely with service departments to develop and implement the communications strategy to meet their department priorities, projects and organisation objectives.
  • Liaise with Senior Campaigns Officers, Service Communications & Multi-Media Teams for specialised support on key campaigns.
  • Provide support and advice to senior colleagues on all aspects of internal and external communications.
  • Promote, protect and enhance the reputation
  • Support organisational change and service delivery requirements with timely, appropriate and accessible communications
  • Researching, writing and managing the production and distribution of a range of publicity materials.
