Breakfast Chef - 5* Country Inn - Devon - £10p/h

Role Overview

Our client is a beautiful luxury country inn placed in the Dartmoor National Park. As Breakfast Chef you will have experience of working breakfast service, a passion for food excellence and focused on delivering quality food. You will need to be reliable, enjoy early shifts and be able to work unsupervised. Working 5/7 days. Minimum 40 hours, straight or split shifts whichever is best for you, works out as £21k per year all overtime is paid!

As a guide the hours they require are: (ARE FLEXIBLE CAN BE CHANGED)

Monday -day off
Tuesday - day off
Wednesday - flexible shifts available
Thursday - 7.00am - 4.00pm
Friday - 7.00 am - 4.00pm
Saturday - 7.00am - 4.00pm
Sunday - 7.00am - 4.00pm

The Role:

  • To assist in the preparation of menu ideas and the ordering of stock
  • To prepare and cook food to a quality standard according to set procedures and to assist in ensuring all dishes are ready for services.
  • Producing dishes to meet the required standard
  • Ensuring food safety and health and hygiene
  • Supervising the Commis Chefs

The Requirements:

  • At least two years of Commis Chef experience, working ideally within a large scale, 180+ room hotel or multi outlet catering environment
  • You will have experience of supervising and motivating a team.
  • You will have experience of working in a similar environment
  • It is essential that you have a minimum Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
  • You must have a good understanding of written and spoken English.
