Sous Chef - 4* Coastal Hotel - Newquay - £25k


Job Overview

Our client is a beautiful seaside restaurant as part of their hotel open to residents and non-residents and they are currently looking for a permanent, full-time Sous Chef, to assist the Head Chef in the smooth running of their kitchen.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Supporting and training chefs from senior chef de partie and below.
  • Preparing food in areas of the kitchen assigned by a superior and to carry out cleaning and any reasonable duties requested.
  • Managing the total running of the kitchen when required or asked to do so
  • Helping to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests and adhering to the company's health and safety policy and procedures.
  • Assisting the Head Chef in the effective and efficient organisation, supervision and control of the kitchen operation.
  • Preparing, cooking and portioning of all dishes to the hotel's standards of quality and quantity.
  • Reporting for duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform and protective clothing and adhering to specified grooming standards



How to be Successful:

  • Sous Chef: 1 year (Required)
  • You must also be passionate about food with previous experience of working within a similarly high quality environment.
