Chef - Traditional Pub - £18,500 + Tips - Southampton


The role:

Chef is required for this gastro pub on the outskirts of Southampton. The pub is part of a group but is run independently and serves freshly prepared, locally sourced food at lunch and dinner.  As a Chef you will work 5/7 Days - Various Shifts - Min 40 hrs

Main duties and responsibilities as a Chef:

  • Produce and present dishes to meet the required standard
  • Run a section within a kitchen and assist on others when required
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining quality of food produced

What you need to be a successful Chef:

  • One years' experience within a fast pace restaurant/pub environment
  • Portioning food in a cost effective way that will meet profit margins and budgets
  • Knowledge on current legal health and hygiene regulations, including allergens and HACCP
  • Being a kitchen team member and leading a team in the head chefs absence
