Sous Chef -Southampton City Centre- up to £26-£28k+Tips - Hotel

Role Overview:

A fabulous Luxury Hotel with a classy Bar/Restaurant newly opened in central Southampton would like to invite an experienced and passionate Chef to join the brigade. You will be working on 5/7 days a week bases in a busy (high volume) and fresh food led kitchen environment on a minimum of 45 hours per week.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities as a Sous Chef:


  • To ensure the food preparation and presentation meets the required standards


  • To comply with hotel's health and safety and food safety legislations


  • To monitor portion control, fresh food and dry store orders


  • To keep all working areas clean and tidy

     



What You Need To Be a Successful Sous Chef:


  • Previous experience in a similar role


  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (advantageous)


  • NVQ or City & Guilds Chef qualifications are required but not essential


  • Excellent communication skills and a great team player
