Commis Chef needed for a beautiful independent gastro pub based near Horsham, Sussex.

This prestigious pub uses high quality, fresh, locally sourced ingredients to cater to a very high level. This particular site is over 500 years old and has a great heritage. They use fresh, locally sourced produce of the highest quality, and allow their chefs to use their creativity.

They work on a 4 day on/3 day off working week, so when you have time off you do get to actually relax. Average hours would be straights during the 4 day working week up to 50 hours.


Main Duties and Responsibilities as a Commis Chef - Near Horhsam
  • To prepare and present food to meet the required standard
  • To assist the head chef with menu ideas
  • To ensure the work area is kept clean and tidy
  • To train the junior chefs



What You Need To Be a Successful Commis- Near Horsham
  • Previous experience in a gastro pub or fresh food kitchen or a catering qualification
  • Willingness to learn and progress
  • Great communication skills and ability to work well within a team
  • A great leader who can take this operation forward
