Sous Chef - New Opening - Circa £30k + tronc

Based near Guildford, Surrey

Sous Chef needed due for a brand new opening of a former award winning gastro pub.

This prestigious pub uses high quality, fresh, locally sourced ingredients to cater to a very high level. They want to put a focus on fresh food and a good volume, rather than fine dining. This is a great opportunity as the owner also owns a number of other restaurants.

You'll have autonomy with helping create menus, recruitment, rota's, costing etc

Main duties and responsibilities of the Sous Chef (Near Guildford, Surrey):

- Implement Health & Safety legislation and COSHH at all times
- Cater for the casual dining restaurant during the day
- Cooking and preparation of high quality meals for potentially large volumes of customers
- Organising the other members of your team and delegating responsibilities
- Working with the more junior members of staff and training them
- Using fresh ingredients to make good, quality food.


What you need to be successful in the Sous Chef role (Near Guildford, Surrey):


  • Past experience working in a fresh food environment, ideally an operation with accolades
  • Excellent communication and able to work as part of a team
  • Works well under pressure
  • Passionate personality that will reflect in your food and your team members
