Catering Supervisor- Education Site - Falmouth - £17,620

An exciting opportunity to become part of an established team for a contract caterer at one of their busy sites in Falmouth. The role is working 52 weeks of the year, 37.5 hours per week, working week will be 5 days over 7, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required by the business.

Key Responsibilities: -

  • To work with the catering department to best serve everyone's needs & within the scope of the catering dept.

  • To work with the rest of the catering team to ensure that a standard service is offered across the campus regardless of whether it is term or vacation time.

  • To meet, greet and seat customers and take orders.

  • To be accountable for the short, medium and long term strategic development.

  • To achieve and where possible exceed budgeted sales and contribution targets, whilst demonstrating a rigid control of all associated costs.

  • To be accountable for the outlets and external events trade on a day to day basis in accordance with policies.

  • To be operationally responsible for all Food Safety and Hygiene matters.

  • To embark upon a continuous programme of procedural and practical improvements to drive greater efficiency within and across all outlets.

  • To provide a safe and welcoming social environment for the Membership.

  • To be operationally accountable for all staffing matters in the outlets, ensuring that all members of staff are trained to the standard appropriate to their post.

How To Be Successful: -

•     Good general education, typically to the Higher/A level equivalent

•     Experience managing and developing a successful commercial catering activity

•     Experience of managing a team of staff

•     Marketing experience, including analysing markets and developing plans

  • Knowledge of Health and Safety especially in the use of cleaning products
