Events Assistant - Outskirts of Southampton - £19k-£22k

An independently owned outside events company on the outskirts of Southampton is currently recruiting for an Events Assistant to assist in the set up and smooth running of weddings and other events which take place across Hampshire and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will have a full clean driving licence and work a 45 hour week to include Saturdays as weekend work is an essential part of the job.


 


Events Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Control the stock room ensuring all equipment is transported and kept in an orderly fashion
  • Responsible for a 6 van fleet ensuring they are well maintained
  • Ordering and stock taking of all alcohol for the events
  • Transport beverages for events and stock bars
  • Minor repairs and maintenance
  • Set up for events
  • Assist in the running of events including bar management and supervising

 


Events Assistant Requirements:

  • Experience in hospitality and events
  • Experience with bar stock
  • Full clean driving licence and confidence in driving vans
  • A passion for the hospitality and events industry
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Enthusiastic attitude and a can-do approach
