The Role:

Running your own section independently in an AA awarded 1 rosette, business driven hotel.

Cooking all dishes from fresh, using local produce. The business functions on 1500-2000 covers on an ordinary week.

Working with a brigade of 10 full times chefs, you will be a part of a team who are striving to grow the business and improve menus and dishes throughout the year.

All pastry used in the kitchen is baked from the bakery owned by the hotel, which is located next door to the main hotel.

Working with a highly experienced Executive Head Chef and Head Chef, you will be encouraged to bring forth your own ideas towards dishes and menus, whilst consistently being expected to prep and cook dishes to meet the very high quality standards that the business demands.

 

Key Information:

  • Starting annual salary of £20,000-£22,000 depending on experience


  • Contracted to 40+ hours a week


  • Working in AA awarded 1 rosette, multi-purpose establishment



 

Skills Required:

  • NVQ Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate


  • 4 years' experience of fresh food cooking


  • Experience of working in a high volume environment e.g. weddings, functions, busy hotels  


  • Preferably having experience of working in an AA awarded 1 rosette (or higher accolade achieved) kitchen    


  • Motivation and dedication to the industry


  • Confidence to bring forth your ideas and to better yourself as a chef
