Central Account Manager based in HQ Capability Green, Luton

Salary up to £26,000 + bonus

Reporting to: Senior National Account Director

Excellent opportunity to develop productive strategic relationships with all designated National Account clients. To increase our share of wallet by utilising our full product range, To provide timely, effective and professional account support to the National Accounts team in-line with their operational objectives. Responsible for delivering on stakeholder requirements through effective communication and the adoption of a promise based culture. To ensure that Blue Arrows values are reflected in every activity and that your actions continually work towards achieving high road recruitment practices that are aligned to enhancing the lives of everyone that touches Blue Arrow.



Key Responsibilities:

National Account Management

  • Maintain a Portfolio of centralised accounts that will be delivered by the branch network


  • To research, analyse and understand your customers: business strategy, organisational structure, key values and priorities and to align Blue Arrow's sales strategy to these in order to grow Blue Arrow's share of wallet


  • To identify key stakeholders within each customer and, initiate, build and develop productive relationships to create new business opportunities for Blue Arrow


  • Ensure that all customer relationships are on a journey to achieving high road recruitment practices that are aligned to "Enhancing the lives of everyone that touches Blue Arrow"


  • To clearly understand, define and accurately measure Blue Arrow's service and share of wallet performance with key clients


  • To create and maintain accurate client account records using salesforce.com, Miller Heiman and Blue Arrow internal account management tools


  • To "own" the relationships with key clients to ensure growth and retention of the business, whilst considering the commercial needs of all stakeholders


  • To maintain regular communication with key clients and create suitable discussion platforms to ensure that there are regular, ongoing discussions focused on growing Blue Arrow's share of Wallet


  • Manage and maintain internal and external mail boxes, responding to mail as appropriate


  • Attend teleconferences and meetings as and when required


  • Produce and present all required information for client meetings as required (presentations etc.)


National Account - Operations Support

  • Arrange local meetings with key account contacts and the local branch network to drive local for local relationships


  • Create and manage the monthly management information reports required within the portfolio of National Accounts. Review, escalate and take appropriate corrective action if needed.


  • Create proposals and branch agreements for rate reviews and also new National Accounts


  • Maintain the National Account page on the Intranet, adding agreements and documents and updates from Bluetalk. Ensure all policies and procedures and client information pages are up to date and accurate


  • Action external client and internal branch queries, complaints and general information required by the branch network and client portfolio


  • Work collaboratively with your team, supporting team goals, demonstrating a positive attitude towards others and embracing Blue Arrows promise based culture


Experience/skills :

  • Experience of working in an Account Development position, preferably running multiple accounts or a managed service account


  • Past experience of building effective relationships with colleagues and external contacts, within a corporate environment and ideally the recruitment sector


  • Experience of working in a performance led environment


  • A professional approach to all tasks, employing the highest levels of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality, with excellent client awareness, and an extremely strong belief in customer service quality


  • Advanced level of IT skill (Excel, Word, Power-point and Outlook)


  • Ability to work on own initiative and self-motivated whilst still supporting team goals and fellow colleagues


  • Able to problem solve and demonstrate solution orientation
