STRAIGHT SHIFTS


Recruiting for a Sous Chef for a prestige leisure venue located near Woking, at their peak days they provide the catering to nearly 1 Million visitors!

You will work closely with the Head Chef & the Exec Chef of the team ensuring the business is drove forward and your team is working efficiently to deliver the highest of standards ensuring consistency and quality is kept throughout. You will assist in looking after the main production kitchen as well as the bakery.

You will have a strong background in catering for high volume as well as good communication skills and good man management skills and a real foodie background with sound knowledge of procedures and policies as well as great craft skills.

You will work on a 5/7 day basis, working with around 9-15 chefs working straight shifts
 


Main duties and responsibilities of the Sous Chef (Surrey):
-          Implement Health & Safety legislation and COSHH at all times
-          Cooking and preparation of high quality meals for large volumes of customers
-          Organising the other members of your team and delegating responsibilities
-          Deliver great quality seasonal 'British & traditional' food
-          Planning menus
-          Provide excellent leadership to the kitchens


What you need to be successful in the Sous Chef role (Surrey):
-          Past experience working in Hotels, Conference Centres to a Rosette standard.
-          Experience in high volume catering
-          Excellent communication and able to work as part of a team
-          Works well under pressure
-          NVQ's level 1, 2 or equivalent
-          Passionate personality that will reflect in your food and your team members
