Role Overview:

Our client is a prestigious and traditional golf club based in Ripley (in between Woking & Guildford). They're looking for a Chef de Partie to join their team in the kitchen, catering for members, guests, functions and weddings. The food ranges from simple bar food to high end banqueting, served in a luxury clubhouse.

As Chef de Partie you will be cooking all fresh food for all sections. The menu contains all fresh ingredients made onsite using different techniques such as Sous Vide cooking, Thermomix and homemade pastry.

As CDP you will help ensure all chefs are fully train on each section, Help Maintain Food Safety Standards, Menu ideas, Daily Specials, help maintain food GP, working with the Restaurant team to resolve any service issue's.

This is a great opportunity for any Chef looking for an exciting challenge and to obtain excellent training and experience. We pride ourselves on quality and the right candidate should have good experience preferably in a high end hotel, golf club, quality restaurant or Club environment.

The right candidate will be able to work as part of a team and also be able to self-manage.

Working day example;

In the 6 months of winter you will work a 40 hour week and in the summer you will work 45 hours, 30 minute lunch, food provided. Summer Early shift 7am-4.30pm middle shift 8.30am-6.00pm late shift 9.30am-7pWinter Early Shift 7am-3.30pm, late shift 8.30am-5.00pm

With the occasional late night function. Great for work/life balance.

Main duties and responsibilities of the Chef de Partie (Ripley):
- Implement Health & Safety legislation and COSHH at all times
- Cooking and preparation of high quality meals for potentially large volumes of customers
- Organising the other members of your team and delegating responsibilities
- Working with the more junior members of staff and training them
- Using fresh ingredients to make good, quality food.
- Learn from the Sous Chef

What you need to be successful in the Chef de Partie role (Ripley):
- Past experience working in hotels, gastro pubs, or golf club
- Excellent communication and able to work as part of a team
- Works well under pressure
- NVQ's level 1, 2 or equivalent
- Passionate personality that will reflect in your food and your team members
