HEAD CHEF WANTED - DEFENCE UNIT - OUTSKIRTS OF WOKING


£11.90 PER HOUR


37.5 HOURS A WEEK


5 OUT OF 7 DAYS

Role Overview:

Our client is a global player in the contract catering industry that supply catering and facility services to various sites throughout the UK. They are currently recruiting for an experienced Head Chef for their site in Woking. This company offers excellent benefits and opportunities to progress.

You will support the Catering Manager in the overall running of the catering department, managing and motivating your team effectively to deliver the required catering services to the client. 


The successful candidate will work on a 1 in 3 weekends -Mixed shifts 6-2pm/7-3pm/8-4pm/11am-7pm.


Main Duties and Responsibilities as a Chef

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting food in line with required standards
  • Ensuring the food is served in the right manner
  • Ensuring the quality and portion size of the food meets the correct standards
  • Stock control
  • To comply with relevant health and safety guidelines
  • Motivation and management of the team
  • overall responsibility of Catering team 

 


What You Need To Be a Successful Chef

  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • NVQ or City & Guilds Chef qualifications are required
  • Creativity and keen interest in food and cooking
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate will be advantageous
